Black Friday. Small Business Saturday. Cyber Monday. Giving Tuesday.

Following an onslaught of shopping deals falls a global day of generosity known as #GivingTuesday. Nearly 37,000 organizations will participate in this online giving day by offering endless options to steward your treasures toward a good cause.

With so many opportunities to consider, we want to help you prepare to leverage your gifts to make an impact on your God-wired passion projects.

Step 1: Pray

In all we do, we’re called to pray and consult God on how to best glorify Him through our time, talents, and treasures. The same call applies to your #GivingTuesday donation. As you pray, consider how God has designed you. A few questions to ask as you pray, include…

  • What issues—lack of gospel access, clean water, justice, etc.—ignite you to act?
  • What gifts and talents—art, athletics, music, and more—has God given you for His glory?
  • What organizations combine your passions and giftedness?

Step 2: Research

As you pray, we believe God will cultivate direction on how you should give on Giving Tuesday. Use His leading to search for specific organizations and their needs to decide how to participate in #GivingTuesday.

Many organizations will clearly communicate their needs through mediums like our Unwrap Hope gift catalog. This makes it even easier for you to find unique ways to push forward a mission that aligns with your passions.

 Step 3: Give

Generosity is way to bless others and tell of God’s grace and forgiveness through the sacrifice and resurrection of His beloved Son—Jesus Christ. He has abundantly provided for you—both physically and spiritually—and #GivingTuesday is an opportunity to extend His provision to others around the world.

As the day begins, be sure to hop online and give towards the projects you’ve prayed about over the next two weeks.

If your prayerful preparation leads you to do so, you can join East-West to spread the gospel among the unreached on #GivingTuesday by visiting www.eastwest.org/give.
