Mahad* spent the last year in anguish—in pain and frustration.
He went to doctor after doctor … but no one could find a cure for his illness. Eventually, even the doctors gave up on Mahad.
A devout Muslim, He was left with only his faith to turn to. He sought the help of local leaders, but none of their prayers or advice helped. After giving most of his money to the mullah and still seeing no results, Mahad realized that the answer was not there.
With his heart heavy and his body still in pain, Mahad was left with little hope. He had only one place left to turn.
In one last effort, Mahad contacted East-West local church planters and invited them to visit and pray for him. They gladly accepted his invitation—excited for an opportunity to share the gospel.
The East-West local team members went to him. Mahad was hospitable and open to their words. They talked to him about who Jesus really is and how they now have freedom through God’s grace. Then the believers prayed over Mahad.
The next day, Mahad woke up and began to walk about freely. He was cured!
Now, every day, Mahad shares the story of how the One True God healed him.
