A New Identity

Read 2 Corinthians 5.
This passage can teach us some foundational lessons in the Christian life. Paul helps us understand at least three basic things:- Believers in Christ have become new creations.
- Jesus alone makes us new because He is the only One who can forgive our sins and restore our relationship with God.
- We’re made new to be God’s ambassadors. Just as He sent Jesus to reconcile us to Himself, we are sent to share the message of reconciliation with the world.
Christ’s reconciling work on the cross made us brand new creations, and He’s sending us into a world desperate for this message. The world needs to be reconciled with it’s Creator who sent, “Him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God” (2 Corinthians 5:21).
God, help us walk in our identity as Your ambassadors in a broken world. Use us to reconcile lost people to Yourself. Amen.
