Holy Week starts a time of seven days dedicated to remember the love of God on display as Jesus walked to Calvary and defeated the grave for the forgiveness of our sins for all who trust in Him as their Lord and Savior.

Our hope is to prepare your heart to revel in God’s grace in a fresh way this Easter season by walking through Holy Week scriptures with you.

Sunday – Mark 11:1-11

On Palm Sunday, Jesus set His sights on Jerusalem—and certain death at the cross. The stage was finally set for the completion of salvation.

Monday – Mark 11:15-19

Jesus asserts His authority and causes a stir in the temple and drives out those keeping the nations from worshiping God.

Tuesday – Matthew 26:6-13

Before His death, Mary anointed Jesus for burial. Today her story is well known, just like Jesus said it would be.

Wednesday – Luke 22:1-6

Out of greed—and to fulfill the prophesies of the Messiah—Judas agrees to turn Jesus into the religious authorities.

Thursday – Mark 14:12-25 and John 13:1-17

In another act of love, Jesus dined with His followers one last time and set an example for believers today through the serving act of washing the disciples’ feet.

Friday – Isaiah 53 and John 19:28-30

Good Friday is good for us and sorrowful for Christ. For the first time ever, the Son was separated from the Father.

Saturday – Matthew 27:62-66

Those in power knew Jesus’ words held authoritative power and took precautions to ensure He remained in the tomb.

Sunday – Matthew 28

In the greatest miracle the world has ever witnessed, Jesus rose from the grave … delivering death’s fatal blow and giving His followers the call of sharing His story.
