title: East-West Blog | Cindy Brinker Simmons
description: "Cindy Brinker Simmons is an author, philanthropist, and former East-West board member who cares deeply about helping people in the midst of life’s challenges. After losing her husband, Bob, to cancer in 2005, she became a champion of joy and has walked alongside hurting people to encourage and help them confidently press forward, choose joy, and trust God. Her latest book, “Restored: Reconnecting Life’s Broken Pieces,” teaches how to choose joy in the midst of heartache and hardship. All net proceeds from the sale of this book will be donated to Wipe Out Kids’ Cancer and the Maureen Connolly Brinker Tennis Foundation. Learn more at www.brinkersimmons.com."
