Crossing the border into a predominately Muslim African nation is dangerous for Yusuf—an East-West missionary and national partner. The government fears the rise of radical Islam and other religions, so they keep a watchful eye on Yusuf and those he’s led to faith in Jesus Christ.
Yusuf’s even been imprisoned for sharing the gospel and smuggling Bibles over the border, and many of the young believers have been cut off from their community.
Their only source of fellowship and support is the church, and they refuse to neglect gathering for prayer, worship, and Bible teaching.
Suspicion casts a shadow over their time together, so when they meet, this small band of believers does so undercover … congregating in homes and switching locations each time so they can’t be tracked.
And as the gather, they are strengthened in boldness and knowledge of God’s desire for them to multiply their faith in their spiritually dark nation.
Each time Yusuf enters this country, he treads behind enemy lines. His personal safety and the safety of those he disciples is at risk, but a movement of the gospel is launching in this nation—making it worth the cost.
