Fuad* lived in a small village in the Himalayas. He had heard of Jesus—only because this one man in his village kept telling everyone about Him—but he didn’t really understand who Jesus was or why He was so important.

How could this one man take the place of all his Hindu gods? Could Jesus really be more powerful than these gods or the magicians who practiced black magic in his village?

But one day, a group of men visited his village. They said they had come from the other side of the country because they wanted to tell the villagers about Jesus. They stayed for a week—doing children’s camps and going door-to-door to share the gospel—and each night, on top of the hill, they would take off their backpacks with the portable projectors inside and show a movie … a movie that explained who Jesus was.

Fuad decided to attend one night because he thought that Jesus must be important if these men would come all that way to share about Him. As he sat on the top of that hill in the wilderness, he was mesmerized by the Man he saw on the screen.

When the movie was over, he found one of the believers and said, “I want to follow Jesus!” During that week, 300 others watched the film and 57 of them accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
