From the Hands of a Child

Gia-An* loved to look at her bracelet. It was a gospel bead bracelet she received from an East-West mission trip team the week before, and it had different colored beads on it. To Gia-An, a young girl, it was beautiful—not just because of the colors but because of the story.

The Americans who came to visit her village told her all about Jesus and how she could follow Him, and she decided to follow Him that day.

That was last week, and today Gia-An had to go to school. She was excited to show her bracelet to her teacher and tell her the story … but she wasn’t the only one. It turns out, most of the other kids in her class ran up to her teacher that day to share with her the story of Jesus.

Her teacher then gathered the other teachers so they could hear the story, and eventually, word got around in the village and an East-West national partner came in and told everyone even more about Jesus.

Gia-An’s teacher and others decided to join her in following Jesus, and now they are reaching more people in the village with the story that changed their hearts.
