Grace on the Gridiron

Their unlikely friendship started on the gridiron—a football camp in the Middle East.

Both friends are spiritual. The coach follows Isa al Masih (Jesus Christ). The athlete worships Allah. During the camp, the coach shared his faith in Jesus and received little response from the athlete.

Now that’s changing.

Nearly a year after their first and only meeting, they keep in touch online. The athlete reveres the coach as a father figure and has expressed interest in learning more about the beliefs of Christianity.

The coach is witnessing God use his obedience in leveraging his talents to “go and make disciples of all nations” by leading this athlete on a spiritual search for Jesus … much like the Magi from the east who set out to discover “the one who has been born the King of the Jews” (Matthew 2:11).

Join us in praying for dreams and visions of Jesus that lead this young Muslim to fall on his knees in worship of the One true King.
