Our church planting strategy is shaped by the very first story of Jesus commissioning His followers to multiply in Luke 10. This one chapter of Scripture is rich in teaching us how God desires to use the Church to glorify Himself by making disciples of all nations.

The graphic below depicts how a movement starts on the field.

FEB16

Step 1: Person of Peace

The start of every movement has a common characteristic— one believer, whether missionary or local believer, entering a community and finding a “person of peace” who is open to the gospel message.

Step 2: Sharing Life

A believer will meet often with the “person of peace” while they evangelize and disciple them—teaching them to share the gospel and equipping them to lead a church.

Step 3: Planting a Church

The person of peace begins to share the love of Christ with their community— creating new believers and bringing them together to form a new church.

Step 4: Spark a Movement

The members of the local church then reach out to new villages to spread the gospel and plant new churches—sparking a movement of rapidly multiplying churches.
