Knowing Him

Read Philippians 3:8 and Colossians 1:9-10.
I’ve learned several key Truths from this Scripture that I work to embrace as I labor among the unreached in Texas.
- We seek spiritual wisdom and understanding to walk more intimately with God, not simply for the sake of knowledge.
- We walk in a manner worthy of the Lord… always seeking to please Him, not earn favor.
- We seek knowledge and understanding, faithfully obeying for the joy of knowing God.
- He is the beginning and the end, the ultimate goal for every labor of love.
- We should seek both knowledge and wisdom.
- Knowledge and obedience are essential in a relationship with the Father and the Son.
As co-laborers in the gospel, we are to pursue pleasing obedience, counting “everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus.”
Lord, allow us to count everything as loss in comparison to knowing Jesus. As we seek wisdom and understanding, use it to bring us into closer communion with You. Amen.
