"Now I am Alive!"

Felix was a respected radiologist in his Latin American community.

So when one of his patients—an East-West national partner—knocked on his door accompanied by a foreigner, Felix recognized the local man and welcomed the two into his home.

Once inside, the foreigner—an East-West missionary—explained that he was visiting to share the word of God. Felix immediately remembered all the times the national partner attempted to talk to him about Christianity when he came in for appointments, but he’d always refused to listen.

For some reason the missionary’s presence seemed to demand his attention, and Felix was finally ready to learn about the God his patient and this visitor believed in.

The missionary spoke with confidence and authority when he shared about a God who loved all people and sent His Son to die so that humanity could be rescued from their sin. As he described the gospel, he used Scripture and Felix was overwhelmed by Jesus’ claim… "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6).

When he finished, the missionary told Felix he could make a choice to follow Jesus and find eternal life.

And in that moment Felix made the life altering decision to believe and accept Christ’s love and forgiveness. As the missionary and national partner left Felix’s home, he exclaimed, “I was dead this morning, but now I am alive!”
