“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” – Hebrews 4:12

Jesus has given every believer direct access to God.

Through His life, death and resurrection, we can approach His throne at any time and boldly ask God for assistance through the power of the Holy Spirit … and He wants us to.

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” – Matthew 7:7-8

In His Sermon on the Mount, Jesus exhorts believers to pray in boldness—asking and expecting their Heavenly Father to open doors as they seek Him above all else. And when we ask, we have assurance that God listens and responds … giving us exactly what we need.

“Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!” – Matthew 7:9-11

This passage deeply resonates with me. Even in my sinfulness, as a father of nine children I understand a father’s desire to give his children good gifts. And my relationship with my children is a mere shadow of the relationship our Heavenly Father longs to have with us.

God—as our good and perfect Father—even more so wants to give good gifts to those He’s adopted as His own sons and daughters through Christ.

Knowing this truth about the Father impacts my prayer life and leads me to unashamedly ask Him daily to supply my needs and East-West’s needs, and you may be His answer to my prayer.

A consistent prayer of mine is for God to bring 5,000 prayer partners to our ministry.

Prayer Partners are some of our most vital contributors to the mission and vision God has given us. Each day, they seek time before the Throne of God on behalf of the unreached and East-West.

Today, I ask you to consider answering this call to advocate on behalf of the lost and those who serve them by becoming an East-West Prayer Partner … asking God to do immeasurably more than we could ask or imagine to penetrate the world’s spiritually darkest places with the Light of the gospel.

Will you help us pave the path for God’s redemption among the unreached through prayer?
