Boldness in the Spirit

Mai Ly sat in a dark building for three days with fellow believers in her city in Southeast Asia. They were there to learn how to share the gospel and plant churches… something Mai Ly was desperate for.

It was dangerous to attend this kind of training, and even more dangerous to act on it. Christians were thrown in jail for much less. Mai Ly herself even spent six months imprisoned for simply having a Bible.

So when it was time to break out and share the gospel, the local pastor decided it would be better to just prayer walk through the city instead. But Mai Ly couldn’t keep her training to herself.

As the walked out of the dark training center, she wandered into a shop close by and shared the gospel with the shopkeeper. She told her the story of Jesus, his death for our sins, and his resurrection for our eternal lives. Immediately, the shopkeeper surrendered her life to Christ!

And that was just the beginning.

After Mai Ly’s boldness proved fruitful, the entire training class began using what they learned to share the Good News throughout the city … and 80 people now have new life in Christ because of their boldness in the Holy Spirit!
