In 2009, an East-West missionary trained 15 African believers in church planting ministry … and only one caught God’s vision of multiplication.
His name is Julian*.
In his African nation, the established church—rich in tradition—is the biggest deterrent in spreading the gospel. The church’s infrastructure is deeply rooted in hierarchy and doesn’t support Julian’s church planting ministry … to the point of persecuting him through social exile.
But this did not stop him from pursuing his God-given mandate to ignite a movement among the unreached in his country.
Julian dedicated his life to spreading gospel seeds and planting churches were harvests are reaped. The work is hard, and the persecution is painful … yet he persists in pursuing the purpose to which he was called.
To date, the Lord has used him to start 800 house churches in a matter of five years.
Now communities once entrenched in rituals are finding new life in truly obeying Christ—because one man showed them how … proving that God can do a mighty work through one individual’s obedience to His call to missions.
