This week’s changed life story is written by Kurt Nelson who recently returned from a mission trip to Latin America.

On the second morning of our trip, my team knocked on Daisy’s door. She was home alone and waiting for our visit. After introducing ourselves, we learned that Daisy had no Bible, no religious background of any kind, and had never known her father. In my 22 years of travel to Cuba I don’t think I have ever met someone with no spiritual heritage.

Geraldo, my interpreter, shared his testimony with Daisy, and I shared the gospel using the Evangecube. Daisy joyfully followed along as we told her what the Bible teaches about God, the creation and the fall of mankind, and the good news of the gospel.

Our conversation with Daisy was truly a “divine appointment” as she met us with a sincere search for understanding followed by childlike faith and trust in Jesus Christ. Geraldo gave Daisy several pieces of literature and took her through a simple lesson designed for a new believer. I prayed for Daisy and we moved to the next appointment.
