“Missions is not the ultimate goal of the church. Worship is. Missions exists because worship doesn't.” –John Piper
East-West doesn’t exist for the sake of missions. We exist for the sake of God’s worldwide worship.
We desire to glorify God by sparking movements of His worship in the spiritually darkest areas of the world. We are inspired to send workers, share the gospel, train local believers, and multiply disciples and churches with this picture of eternal worship in mind:
And they sang a new song, saying:
“You are worthy to take the scroll
and to open its seals,
because you were slain,
and with your blood you purchased for God
persons from every tribe and language and people and nation.
You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God,
and they will reign on the earth.” -Revelation 5:9-10
Jesus came. He died. He rose again. He ascended. He is coming back.
Today He is in the process of redeeming people from all nations. It is the privilege of all believers to join him in this global adventure.
With eternity in mind, our staff is inspired by modern psalms that renew our vision of worship among every tribe, language, people, and nation. To that end, we wanted to share some of our favorite songs that inspire us to missions.
